NORDIC BASQUE FORUM

The Nordic Basque Forum is a referential event in the Basque Country and in Nordic Countries in the application of innovation in strategic sectors for the development of society such as Education, Culture, Turism and Healthcare.

We are aware of the potential of both regions regarding the economic and social growth promoted by innovation in key sectors. Both regions are called to be references in this development.

With a dynamic format oriented towards the generation and acquisition of knowledge related to both private and public best practices in the use of new technologies and innovation in these sectors, real and successful cases of product and service development will be shown by their creators themselves. These cases also promote the economic revitalisation of the sectors that each one of these products and services are aimed at.

WHO IS IT AIMED AT?

Entrepreneurs, academics, businesses and professionals from the technological sector and from each one of the key sectors acted on, the Departments of innovation and economic and business promotion in public entities, business incubators and accelerators, SMEs with the need for new ideas and opportunities, education centres and a long etc.

SPHERES OF ACTION

We will work mainly with the three strategic sectors for the development of society and on the impact that creativity and innovation have on Healthcare, Education, Turism and Culture. We are talking about innovative projects which, through creativity and technology, are having a positive impact even at an economic level in the key sectors acted on.

EVENT

The first edition of the Nordic Basque Forum will be organised in Bilbao. The annual event can rotate through the three Basque capitals based on the potential interest of both the administrations and the companies in each region in hosting the event.

This first edition of the Nordic Basque Forum will be held in Bilbao. Likewise, the Nordic Basque Forum will also be organised in the Nordic Countries in future editions, alternating the host city in the different countries in order implicate actively to both societies, the Nordic one and the Basque one.

The first edition of the Nordic Basque Forum will consist of a complete morning of international conferences on the three strategic sectors proposed. Healthcare, education, culture, and turism. Likewise, there will be spaces for the presentation of the best Basque initiatives in the application of R&D, as well as different cultural events and those to promote Basque tourism
